Saturday, July 6 2002                           Moreton Island, Australia                                  Day 7

Today we went on a 4x4 excursion on the island resort of Tangalooma.  The ranger described to us the many interesting flora and fauna found on the island.  Then we went Sand Tobogganing where you take a wood board, wax up one side of it, and lay on the board and fly down a sand mountain.  The climb to the top of the sand mountain was extremely excruciating, but the ride down was all worth it.  First time I rode alone, and then I rode down with my friend Katherine in doubles.  The sand tasted great.  Then in the afternoon we did body surfing, kayaking, and bogey boarding.  Originally we were going to go snorkeling but the surfs were too big.
