Wednesday, July 17 Wellington, New Zealand Day 18
We were woken up early in the morning to begin packing for our long day’s journey ahead. We packed out bags, had breakfast, and were taken to the school by our home stay father in his police cruiser. We were traveling in style. Before we had to meet our train at the train station, we were let loose in the city of Te Awamutu to do some exploring and shopping for our long train ride ahead and into Wellington. I went to a café to get some breakfast with Katherine and Katrina, my usual shopping buddies, and then went around town to buy some souvenirs. Then we boarded the train and entertained ourselves with playing cards, music, talking, etc. Late in the afternoon we arrive in Wellington, a big city compared to Te Awamutu.
